WSR 6101 Liquid epoxy resin introduction Product Description

WSR 6101 is a liquid epoxy resin made from bisphenol A and epichlorohydrin. It is the most widely used liquid epoxy resin and also the standard bisphenol A epoxy resin. As the matrix resin, it can be made into a variety of modified epoxy resin products.

WSR 6101 liquid epoxies can be used with a variety of room temperature curing agents, the most common being aliphatic polyamines, polyamides, amines, cycloaliphatic amines and modified versions of these curing agents. By curing the resin at high temperature, some properties of the matrix resin, such as chemical resistance and glass transition temperature, can be improved. If anhydride or catalyst type curing agent is used, high temperature curing is required, and a longer time after curing is required to obtain better performance.

WSR 6101 liquid epoxy is supplied in bulk and in 220kg or 20kg sealed iron drums. Storage of this low molecular weight liquid epoxy should be in its initial sealed packaging and stored in a dry, storage ring daily. The ambient temperature should be 10-40℃ (the minimum storage temperature should not be lower than 2℃). Store away from high temperature fire sources and avoid sunlight. Under the above conditions, the epoxy shall retain its chemical properties for a period of at least 12 months from the date of production.

Under certain conditions, for example, if the storage temperature is 2℃ lower, WSR 6101 May crystallize. The product of the resin is only a physical change and does not change its chemical properties. In case of failure, the resin can be heated to 70-80℃, and by stirring, the resin can be restored to its original condition.

Under certain circumstances, such as low temperature, this product can crystallize after lengthy storage, this can be reversed by warming up to 60-70 ℃ while stiming. The product should be stored in a cool and dry place in its original closed packaging, and not be stored exposed to direct sunlight. Under these conditions the self life should be a minimum of 12 months from date of manufacture.
