Due to the relatively unstable nature of organic peroxides a loss ofquality can be detected over a period of time. To minimize the loss of quality, AkzoNobel recommends a maximum storage temperature (T_smax.) for each organic peroxide product.

For Trigonox 42S T_smax. = 25°C (77°F) and

T_smin. =-20°C ( -4°F)

When stored under these recommended storage conditions, Trigonox42S will remain with the AkzoNobel specifications for a period of atleast three months after delivery.

Thermal stability Organic peroxides are thermally unstable substances, which may undergo self-accelerating decomposition. The lowest temperature at which self accelerating decomposition of a substance in the originalpackaging may occur is the Self-Accelerating DecompositionTemperature (SADT). The SADT is determined on the basis of the HeatAccumulation Storage Test.
